ASSOCIATE COUNSELOR, LEVEL 2

Serving virginia Clients

I am a resident in counseling offering virtual therapy for clients located in Virginia, working towards certification as a registered play therapist, under the supervision of Laura Morlok, LCPC, LPC, RPT-S.

Prior to graduate school, I was a Behavioral Specialist and Family Clinician at an intensive crisis stabilization program that provided wrap-around care for kids ages 5-18. In these roles, I had the opportunity to spend up to 15 hours per week with my clients in addition to being an active part of the wrap-around support team.

During my graduate studies, I continued in my role as a Family Clinician while also moving into school counseling where I was able to intern at a middle school. As part of the school community, I was an advocate for my students, leading 504 and IEP meetings and collaborating with administration.

What does my experience mean for you as my client?

I am able to confidently meet you where you are right now and go at your pace, even if you’re tired of coming to therapy or you’ve had negative experiences with therapy in the past.

I’m not intimidated by big feelings and am ready to build a safe relationship where we can work through those emotions together.

When not practicing therapy, I'm working on my cars and playing with my dogs.

We have a 1 year old golden retriever, a 7 year old blue heeler and a 13 year old chihuahua husky mix. I have two cars: one for regular driving and one is a Miata on a truck frame. Why did I put a Miata on a truck chassis? Because it made me smile.

I seek to ensure that authentic connection, communication, and play will be the foundation of our therapeutic relationship.
