Serving Maryland & DC Clients

I am a licensed graduate professional counselor serving clients virtually in Maryland and DC as well as in-person in Frederick, MD, and working towards certification as a registered play therapist, under the supervision of Laura Morlok, LCPC, LPC, RPT-S.

During my graduate studies, I was a clinical intern here at Playful Therapy Connections! I worked with neurodivergent children and families in individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing play therapy and digital play therapy.

Prior to entering the mental health field, I worked mostly with a senior citizen population providing social and community services aimed toward helping this population to age in place, as part of a "naturally occurring retirement community (NORC)". I also taught undergraduate-level courses in History and Psychology, teaching a diverse population of students. and the opportunity to help them reach their educational goals was a very rewarding experience.

What does my experience mean for you as my client?

My experience means that I truly understand that you deserve to be respected for who you are and who you desire to be.

There are generations of families, adults, and children struggling with mental health. Their lives often feel compromised because the knowledge we have gained about mental health has yet to become understanding embraced by all.

You are different only because no two human beings are alike. Allowing yourself to claim those differences and embrace the challenges along the way comes from the freedom to be yourself in a space where you are fully welcome.

Outside of the therapy room, I’m playing with my four-legged monster, Cooper, listening to music and writing poetry. I’m also an avid sports fan and enjoy watching the Washington Commanders and the Washington Capitals.

Following my childhood passion into adulthood, I have a serious Darth Vader collection.
