Serving Maryland Clients
offering services in spanish & English
I am a licensed graduate professional counselor serving clients virtually in Maryland as well as in-person in Frederick, MD and North Bethesda, MD and working towards certification as a registered play therapist, under the supervision of Laura Morlok, LCPC, LPC, RPT-S.
As a graduate student, I was a clinical intern right here at Playful Therapy Connections, working with neurodivergent children and families providing individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing play therapy and digital play therapy. I also had the opportunity to work as an elementary school teacher.
Prior to grad school, I was a research assistant at the UMD Psychotherapy Clinic as well as a case worker for Montgomery County Rental Assistance.
What does my experience mean for you as my client?
As a child of immigrants from Colombia, I offer the lived experience of being first generation, which means I intimately understand the challenges of navigating cultural shifts and identity crises.
As someone who is Spanish-speaking, being bilingual allows me to offer an additional level of comfort, as I can provide services in both Spanish and English.
Additionally, having my own executive functioning differences means that I have a deep understanding of what you or your child may be struggling with, especially in school settings.
Having personally experienced the power of exploring my own identity, I want to offer the same to you; creating a space in which to work through challenges, celebrate your strengths and embrace the various aspects of who you are.
