Virtual Group Therapy for Neurodivergent High Schoolers

how can we support neurodivergent teens?
Neurodivergent teens are navigating a world build largely by, and for, neurotypical people.
On any given day, they are faced with dozens of messages that tell them: this space is not for you.
Over time, these messages can strip teens of their confidence, lower their self worth, and crush their spirit -
leaving them feeling anxious, lonely and disconnected.
what’s different about groups at ptc?
Groups for neurodivergent high schoolers at Playful Therapy Connections are a place where teens can connect in the ways that are most natural for them, with peers who have similar interests and overlapping neurotypes.
We do not ‘teach social skills’. Instead, we honor each teen’s way of being by offering a supportive space where they can be themselves and explore the ways in which they want to show up in the world. Instead of providing a set curriculum intended to teach teens how to mask or “pass as neurotypical”, teens are invited to bring in their own special interests, expertise and topics of choice to each session.
Our neurodivergent licensed therapists and clinical interns focus on building up your teen’s strengths and do not operate from a deficit-based model.
PTC’s groups will provide opportunities for your Autistic / ADHD’r / AuDHDr’ / anxious / depressed teen to:
